half of franklins...... i dont know what majordomo is listening to or what he hears in the opener but i came to this show for the halfstep-franklins and having listened to the 79 tour i have to say this is an amazing rendition and im not quite sure you know what you are rating/listening to. another standout is chinacat-rider amazing interplay as well give it a listen.

begins badly listless and jerry fails to really attack the franklins tower. ditto for playin in the band--jerry fails to really go at it. sound quality also lacks dynamics.
I will never forget these 2 shows at the coliseum...great parking lot and crowd it was like a festival...great music!

Overshadowed Classic Show. There must have been something in the water in Yarmouth.
This show was as good as the night before. I mean.... a 14 minute Half Step (my favorite version....listen to Phil) followed by an 18 minute Franklin's
...
to start off the show....Are you kidding me, a 30 minute jam to kick it off!!!! The Althea, Passenger ( again one of the best ever) Ramble On Rose into a 10 minute Music Never Stopped (Stop me if you've heard this before, but an epic version) is classic Dead. The second set doesn't let up either with a nice early Brent China Cat> Rider to get things started. The Playin (more than 19 minutes long) is out of this world, again listen to Phil in the Jam....Heavenly... The space is unique and spookyand the Stella is very nicely done. For me this is the best 2 night stand I ever saw the Boys do, followed closely by Frost '82 and Santa Fe '83.
